Our research focusses on the analysis of microbial communities living in association with plants and in soil. Current research topics address questions in the fields:

• Microbiology of the rhizosphere and soil
• Phyllosphere microbiology
• Ecology and physiology of methylotrophic bacteria
   
  In our courses we teach theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of soil- and rhizosphere microbiology. Courses are given in BSc Agricultural Science, MSc Crop Science, MSc ARTS and MSc Microbiology.
